Open-Minded Thinking and

Attitude

By Gage Vogt

Immortalis Perspective Preface

Each article is framed through the lens of Prime Law Capitalism, highlighting subtle differences between old-world views and New World Value.

The following article shares thoughts on open-mindedness, persistence, and reframing challenges. As you read, We invite you to notice how these ideas can connect to something deeper: the power of Prime Law Capitalism.

Persistence, for example, becomes more than trial and error when anchored in earned value creation. Open-mindedness becomes more than experimenting with new thoughts — it becomes the willingness to see how mutual benefit exchange consistently outperforms extraction-based systems.

This is your opportunity to practice critical thinking. Take the themes presented here and ask yourself: How do these ideas shift when guided by Prime Law logic? How does sovereignty and earned value elevate them beyond motivational slogans into practical, lasting success?

When you make that connection, the message moves from inspirational to transformational. And that choice is always yours.

A truly successful person is someone who is succeeding now. It is not what they did in the past or who they were. A truly successful person is always doing new things, thinking in new ways, learning more about what they have already studied, rereading books for deeper insights, or improving the skills they have already learned (sometimes called mastery).

Staying aware of yourself, particularly what you think, say, and do, is necessary, and is responsible for all of your success in life. Are you open to change? Are you open to trying new things? Or are you stuck in what worked in the past? Do things in a new way. Do new things. Use different words.

Think new thoughts. Stay open to change.. Be willing to change. If you have had dreams for your life and you're not getting them, you have to do things differently; but the most important change you have to make is your thinking.

Be aware of this axiom of the physical universe:

You can't always rely on what got you where you are to get you where you want to go. Let go of what is not working and step into the NEW. Trust yourself and take some new steps.

Frequently reevaluate what you do, what you say, and what you think by asking questions such as:

"Is it improving my emotional well-being?"

"Is it getting me closer to my goals, desires, and dreams?"

If you are not getting what you want, then it is time to change.

The Universe is not a physical being or the area of all known space called the physical universe.

It is the matrix of this physical universe, which is a force that increases well-being and success for all beings. But most do not allow this matrix to help them achieve their goals, even if they believe this is true. No religious belief is required to believe in this; you can simply work with the principle and notice that your life will get better.

Also, you can study history from an objective viewpoint and find historical trends that clearly demonstrate the truth that, in the long term, the Universe heads towards greater and greater well-being.

So, how does this relate to being open-minded?

Well, the Universe never closes a door without opening an even better door. You have to know that a closed door would have led to disaster, ruin, or lesser good. If you read success stories (more on this later) and take a look at your past, you will see this is true.

Persistence

Persisting in one activity in a specific direction is not a guarantee of victory. But persistence blended with open-minded experimentation does guarantee success. If you are passionate about work or a project, you will persist. That passionate persistence, blended with open-minded experimentation, guarantees success.

Sometimes, this is called Split-Running (a term from Direct Mail Marketing). Split-running is also a great way to create more "luck" in business and relationships (like parenting or dating, but this can apply to any area of life).

Succeeding (and overcoming "failure")

Know that there is no such thing as failure. What is called failure can be reframed as simply finding ways that haven't worked. If you keep persisting, you will find a way that works. You only need one way to make something work and be successful.

Edison invented the first mass-produced incandescent light bulb. Edison famously said, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." Each of his 10,000 attempts wasn't a step backward; it was a step closer to success.

Indeed, he did find a way that it would work, and he became rich doing so.

What is called failure can be accurately reframed as "a way it would not work" (WIWNW).

Early on, successful people "found ways it would not work" and realized it's OK. They realized it wasn't the end of the world. Truthfully, finding ways it would not work doesn't have to hurt at all.

Finding WIWNWs will only hurt you if you ALLOW IT TO! Finding WIWNW, in every case, is not the end of the world.

Every adversity and every heartache carries with it the seed of a greater benefit. Thus, every adversity and heartache is the path to future ease, freedom, success, and pleasure. If you have found WIWNW many times, that's ok. Now you will clearly know what not to focus on. By knowing what you don't want, you can more clearly define what you do want. When you define what you want and focus on it, you will achieve your desires (either by attracting it into your life, via inspired action, or both).
