Immortalis Prime Law Capitalism Perspective Preface
This article explores resilience, optimism, and appreciation as tools for overcoming adversity — all important qualities for any self-leader. From a Prime Law Capitalism lens, however, it’s vital to see that mindset alone is not enough: real transformation comes when challenges are met with value creation in reality. Obstacles are not merely reframed; they are solved through innovation, responsibility, and mutual benefit. In this way, we go beyond positivity to sovereignty — ensuring that optimism translates into tangible progress for all.
Adversity and Obstacles
Every adversity and every heartache carries with it the seed of a benefit greater than the pain. Thus, every adversity and heartache is really the path to eventual ease, success, and pleasure.
Small problems lead to small solutions. Big problems lead to big solutions. Small questions lead to small answers. Big questions lead to big answers. The amount of satisfaction you will experience from any given solution or answer is proportional to the size of the question/problem and the corresponding answer/solution. But there is no reason you need to keep the question or problem in your awareness for longer than it takes to identify a solution. Rather than spending so much attention on the problem, focus on the answer/solution instead.
An obstacle can serve as a powerful guide—one that redirects, refines, and sometimes even rescues, if you allow it to. Some give up at the sight of the first obstacle, but for those who choose to see it as a signal to adjust their path, it becomes a turning point. When faced with obstacles, some allow them to erode their confidence, turning them into self-created curses that breed self-doubt. But others, with a shift in mindset, transform the same experience into blessings—opportunities to grow, to uncover better methods, or to be spared from paths that might have led to ruin. Time and again, life rewards those who respond to adversity not with despair, but by refocusing on their purpose and what they hope to accomplish. This reaction, this personal choice to get back on track, triggers a chain of events that propels one forward with greater clarity and strength.
History is replete with stories of individuals who faced significant problems and challenges, only to later achieve extraordinary things. Some failed in their early career choices, but found their true calling through trial and error. Others turned small, simple ideas born from adversity into massive innovations that reshaped industries. What made the difference? It was not talent, the environment they were born in, or their family they were born to. It was the mindset, particularly their ability to reframe problems as feedback, and to believe—often in the face of all the circumstances around them—in their eventual success.
Criticism
People who are moving towards their goals almost always “bump their head”, ”stub their toes”, and fail in a few projects on the way. However, they don’t differentiate between failing in a project and failing in life or being a failure. The net result of thinking they are a failure in life, or that they are a failure themselves, is that they become Susceptible to the Negative Influences of Other People (also known as a SNIOP). You have to understand that you are never a failure and that you are not a failure in life, but you might feel that way if you believe it.
Do not accept others' comments that you are a failure. Don't fight those who unfairly criticize you; just outlast them. You can let your success do the talking. Success is the best “revenge.”
Even if you’re told you don’t have what it takes to succeed, it’s important that you don’t let what they say stop you from succeeding. Don’t let anyone tell you what you can’t do.
Don't tell strangers about your goals and dreams. By keeping them to yourself, it will be less likely that people will criticize you (as in the destructive/non-helpful kind of criticism).
Constructive criticism is valid and helpful for your success and expansion, but you have to decide whether you are going to hear someone out and do what they suggest. Only you know what’s best for you, and you can tell based on where your gut feeling is guiding you to.
Look for the Good
Look for the good in others, rather than arguing back at those who criticize them. Love them. If you are struggling to feel positive about them, focus on something else you already feel good about or that provides some emotional relief.
Successful people tend to say “Yes!” to life and its positives; they go out toward life in cheerful expectation of desired results. Rather than be critical or cynical, think "What do I like best?" “What do I like best about this person?”. Look for the gold! It's a success habit that will be reflected in your happiness, and later, your success.
Another form of looking for the good is appreciation. Appreciating is acknowledging the value of a thing, situation, circumstance, person, animal, or event (or an aspect of it/them). It’s also feeling the love and enjoyment of that value. Appreciation is a form of savoring. In appreciation, you are practicing the vibration of success.

How this applies to those currently in Immortalis
Remember that big problems lead to big solutions and that big questions lead to big answers. We in Immortalis deal with big problems and questions (such as death, aging, and cancer), many in fact. But, that doesn’t mean that we won’t receive satisfying answers and solutions. What is necessary is to be focused and optimistic. Know that we will succeed - it is in fact inevitable. Do not underestimate the power of the individual (yourself) and other like-minded optimistic people (other Immortalis Members) working towards a goal.
Those who would destructively criticize Immortalis and our goals clearly show that they are suffering. They need what we can provide. Don’t criticize or condemn; instead, be compassionate. Look for the good in (as best as you can) in them. Remember that what they say doesn’t have to affect you or your contributions to this network.
Think what you like best about each Immortalis prospect you see or hear from. The “right” (the people who would most benefit the Immortalis mission) kind of people are attracted to those who do this (positive people). We want more positive people in our network, not because we don’t have them, but because it makes our collective more pure and more powerful - it adds energy and optimistic determination towards our goal.
Value reflection (a form of appreciation) is the last step of value creation. We have an Immortalis Celebration group just for this.
There are a lot of lovely people in Immortalis, so you have plenty of opportunities to appreciate others.
And finally, if nobody has told you… Have a wonderful rest of your day!
